Developing Teams and Providing Sports Equipment for Young Athletes
One of the initial efforts by the foundation has been providing funding for youth sports, including equipment, uniforms, and training, creating pathways to play where there had been none.
Part of the focus is also ensuring girls have the same opportunities in sports that boys have in what has been traditionally a male-dominated society.
For many children in the communities we serve, it is the first time they have ever put on a uniform to play organized sports, like basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball. With the opportunity also comes the responsibility to maintain good grades and positive attitudes in order to participate.
Teachers have reported that the desire for participation in the sports program has lowered the truancy rate substantially and made the students apply themselves to schoolwork like never before.
Through sports, the children often learn life lessons that translate into better outcomes in school and in their daily lives.

Through individual donations, you can sponsor an annual scholarship for an elementary or high school student. Each scholarship donation includes full tuition alongside one daily snack for each student.
