OUR MISSION AND VALUES: WHAT WE DO AND WHY WE DO IT

At The Castañeda Kids Foundation (TCKF) we are unwavering in our conviction. We believe in the transformational powers of service and giving.

We believe education can change the course of a life. We believe in healing the body and the soul. We believe participating in sports promotes good health, teaches life skills and builds community. We believe music brings joy while encouraging creativity and learning. We believe seniors are a treasured resource of every community and family.

We fervently believe all of this

Put together, we want you to know our initiatives and programs provide support, relief and hope for people with no access and communities in short supply. We want to do everything possible for these communities and we want to make sure we provide the absolute best value with every dollar graciously donated. So we set goals. And we work as an extended team. And we believe in those goals completely. And we make it happen.

We believe so we can serve

In the last decade, and with the help of incredibly generous donors, we have provided medical care for over 10,000 patients. We’ve awarded 900 scholarships to children who show academic promise but have no resources. We’ve gifted meals to over 8,000 elderly citizens during the holiday season. We provided uniforms and equipment to 2,000 children and sponsored 18 sports teams.

We listen with respect. We serve with compassion. We offer support and empathy. We encourage with honesty and no false hope. We come together to teach and show communities that they matter. We want to do more. Because we believe. And because we can.
